  • Abstract
    A new type of fiber link employing large-effective-area medium-dispersion fiber is presented. Q improvement of 4 dB compared to conventional fibers was revealed for the link by a simulation. A maximum dispersion variation of the link was plusmn 0.18 ps/nm/km over the C- and L-bans
