  • Abstract
    We investigate the influence of multi-path-interference, four-wave-mixing and self-phase-modulation on a system with FEC and find an improved tolerance to signal distortions. A simple model predicts this improvement quantitatively for quasi-statistical effects, with experimental agreement.
