Abstract
With an increasing need for real-time detection and quantification of power quality problems which may arise in a low-voltage grid, different measurement techniques are developed. This paper focuses on some tracking methods based on amplitude-frequency estimators like energy separating algorithms and analytic signal procedure. A special highlighting is given to a new approach based on the orthonormal real wavelet transform of analytic signals. Some examples and results are also included. Finally, a DSP performance analysis of the estimators is given
