Abstract
Microwave voltage controlled oscillators are an integral part of large number of microwave circuits and systems, such as phase locked loops, clock recovery circuits and frequency synthesizers. Considering the widespread application of microwave engineering and emergence of microwave integrated circuits that are replacing the tubes, the task of designing voltage controlled oscillator is taken. Ansoft Serenade Harmonica Simulator 8.5 is used for simulation of voltage controlled oscillator simulation results are presented and discussed. It is possible to design and simulate a reasonably good oscillator very easily and quickly using this simulator.
