  • Abstract
    The use of sub-entire domain (SED) basis functions can greatly improve the efficiency in the accurate analysis of large-scale periodic structures with finite sizes. In this paper, a modified SED testing function is proposed to further improve the efficiency, which has been successfully used in the accurate simulation of split-ring resonator (SRR) arrays. We show that the resonant frequencies of SRR arrays can be determined rapidly and accurately using the proposed approach.
