Abstract :
The multiband behavior of a novel fractal patch antenna is introduced in this paper. The proposed shape is generated by applying an iterative process on a square. Both experimental and numerical results show that the self-similarity properties of the fractal shape are translated into its multiband behavior. The computed current densities over the antenna surface are also given, which help to display the similarity properties through the bands.
