Abstract
This paper presents a new set of formulas to compute the field distribution near an electrically large conductor with a dipole as illumination. The target is modeled by non-uniform rational B-spline (NURBS) surfaces. Physical optics (PO) is applied and stationary phase method (SPM) is adopted to calculate the integral of the induced current on the NURBS surface. Results obtained from these formulas and from traditional PO method using triangle facet modeling technique agree well, which show the accuracy and efficiency of the formulas.
