Abstract
An approach to microwave image reconstruction is presented. The essence of the approach is using scalar integral scattering equation under Born approximation to solve image reconstruction problem. An alternative meaning of Born approximation is presented, and the use of this approximation to reconstruct images of planar reflecting objects is justified. The inverse problem is solved using Tikhonov regularization.
