Abstract
The cellular OFDM systems with the frequency reuse factor as one suffers strong intercell interference. Time-domain scrambling OFDM systems suppress the intercell interference and provide the frequency diversity, but consume much power at the receiver. A novel OFDM system switch is proposed for radio network control based on instantaneous channel quality and multicell environments. Alternative systems are switched to optimize the overall system throughput and avoid unnecessary power consumptions
