  • Abstract
Owing to pervasive computing and advanced technology, particularly wireless and the Internet, a large number of connected smart devices are deployed within smart environments to provide services for elderly and handicapped users. The aim of this paper is to first give an overview of security requirements for smart environments which have been recently studied to better show the lack of security services for elderly and handicapped users. In the global village context, these requirements must be fulfilled for elderly or handicapped people among the various smart environments considered (homes, offices, schools, hospitals and cars). The aim of our contribution will focus on authentication of handicapped persons. We propose a new authentication model which is based on a single protocol using our authentication model. We propose a dynamic and suitable integrated approach which will insure both security and privacy for dependant people
