Abstract
To meet the requirements of the market economy, from 1970s, Chinese technological innovation policy has experienced complicated and diverse changes, which has strongly strengthened Chinese international competitiveness. This paper first reviews the history of Chinese technological innovation policy by dividing it into 4 stages. Then this paper introduces the institution framework for the technological innovation policy setting in China, which is mainly composed of MOE, State council, MOST, and NRDC departments. Finally an empirical study of Chinese technological innovation policy (from 1999 and 2003) is presented and analyzed in this paper
