Abstract
The displacements of optical path components in WDM laser packages produced by temperature changes have been simulated by FEA thermo-mechanical modelling and evaluated on existing packaged components with qualitative agreement. This approach enables alternative package designs, materials and mounting schemes to be investigated in advance of assembling and characterising actual devices
