Abstract
This paper presents an improved genetic algorithm assisted beamforming, which introduces several parameters to conveniently control the solution precision and search space. The performance of low sidelobe wide nulling and the convergence are discussed for a one-dimensional linear antenna array. The simulation results show that the algorithm can efficiently give a wide nulling of 30 dB and has good convergence. Compared with the results shown by some related literatures, this algorithm gives a better suppression onto the interference
