Abstract :
Orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) is considered to be a prospective scheme in beyond 3G communication due to its advantage in robustness against multi-path, while it´s very sensitive to frequency and timing offset. This paper proposes an effective synchronization scheme based on new preamble structure for MIMO OFDM downlink (DL). CAZAC sequence is utilized in training symbol design regarding of its correlation properties. Synchronization strategy based on CAZAC preamble is accomplished in this improved algorithm. The simulation result illustrates that the proposed scheme works about 2 dB better than conventional method in high speed multi-path environment
