  • Abstract
    The wavelength continuity constraint imposed by WDM network leads to inefficient utilization of wavelength channels and high blocking probability with poor block performance in WDM transport networks. In order to weaken the affection of the wavelength continuity constraint, the technology of wavelength convertor and wavelength rerouting is suggested. Considered the cost, the technology of wavelength rerouting is a good method. Based on the model of wavelength graph, the wavelength rerouting strategy is proposed. This paper develops one improved wavelength rerouting algorithm to replace the wavelength convertor of OXC and has a simulation on it. Through the computer simulation and the numerical analysis, it is validated that the algorithm has the good performance
