Abstract :
In this paper, a new time-frequency analysis method for multi-component chirp signals is presented. First we define the fourth-order fractional Fourier transform (FRFT) center moment spectrum and then we can get the number of signals and estimate the frequency modulation ratio of each component by analyzing the fourth-order FRFT center moment spectrum. Secondly, we present the signal-adaptive PWD (SA-PWD). Compared with other methods based on time-frequency analysis, this method can remove most of the cross-terms while keeping high time-frequency resolution. Finally, the computer simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of this approach
