  • Abstract
This paper presents a new peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction method to optimize TDS-OFDM signals in DMB-T system. TDS-OFDM modulation induces high crest factors of the signals in time domain. The analysis is focused on the peak-to-average ratio reduction methods in RF front-end of the DMB-T system. The new algorithm is to combine improved partial transmit sequence (PTS) method and peak-cancellation technique in order to optimize the PAPR performance in multi-carries system. This method do not increase the undesirable spectrum re-growth and inter-modulation distortion. By simulation, it is shown that the new algorithm can achieve a lower PAPR value about 4 dB~5 dB at a little cost of bit error rate (BER) increase
