Abstract
In this paper we propose a general method to reduce electronic time coincidence window in PET, based on a-priori morphological information obtained via a CT scan. This allows rejecting randoms without losing true coincidence events, improving image quality and true data throughput. Experimental results show a significant random fraction decrease and an image variance reduction.
