Abstract
Optimum performances of high-voltage conditioning electrodes in vacuum by pulses of various shapes are considered. As a result of transition from rectangular pulse to oblique-angled wave, fourfold increase in electric strength for pulses of nanosecond durations is shown. In the range of 10-10 les tp les 10-3 s, the curves of electric strength as function of pulses duration of conditioning optimal regime are plotted. The pulsed electric strength rises from 2-107 V/m in the microsecond range up to 1010 V/m at the sub-nanosecond duration
