    This paper presents a work in progress conducted between British Telecom (BT) and the University of Essex. The project aims to provide a suitable component AI framework supported by a network overlay (Nexus) that enables secure knowledge distribution for use by mobile agents. This is to operate while observing the background goal of maintaining an acceptable quality of service
