Abstract
The presented work describes an intelligent and user-friendly human-computer interface component for multiparty interaction. The system acts as an independent dialogue partner characterised by different states of attentiveness and the ability of proactive involvement into the conversation. Integration of perception, emotion processing, and multimodal dialogue skills in interactive systems is expected to not only improve future human-computer communication but also the human-human communication over networked systems
