Abstract
EMC compliance for a system is largely about managing the cable design. The most disruptive interference sources are always devices that are not designed to transmit anything, and tend to be part of the overall system design. EMI is distributed by cable structures, so the main job is to identify coupling paths and develop techniques to minimise the tendency of wires to become antennae.
