Abstract
The paper discusses about the Westinghouse Rail System in finding ways to reduce railroad risks. It deals about GCP3000 Level Crossing Predictor which is a method used for train detection for automatic level crossing. It also introduces GCP4000 which eliminates complex signalling interfaces. Some features of the GCP4000 includes controls up to 6 tracks, RIO (Relay Input/Output) modules, two Solid State Crossing Controllers, on- board vital HD-link communications system and template design and programming.
