Abstract
A low power low noise amplifier (LNA) for ultra-wideband (UWB) receiver front-end has been designed in a standard TSMC 0.18¿m CMOS technology. The Spectre simulations show that the proposed UWB LNA achieves superior performances of minimum noise figure (NFmin), flat gain bandwidth (GBW), low power supply and consumption over the recently reported UWB LNAs. The LNA has a flat 3-dB gain bandwidth of 2.6 GHz to 10.2 GHz, a power gain of 11 dB, a minimum noise figure of 1.5 dB and a total power dissipation of only 4.5 mW from a 1.2 V power supply.
