  • Abstract
A generic agile system means both its system configuration and execution jobs are not fixed when the system control was in design. They are allowed to vary according to its modeling rules when the system is in operation. This paper introduces a parametric event-driven flowed token Petri nets (PEFT-PN) for modeling and control of such a generic agile system. The solution should rely on the integration of event-driven process chain (EPC) and the proposed PEFT-PN, but only the PEFT-PN portion will be focused here. In this PEFT-PN, events were separated from the tokens for playing different roles. The tokens are objects flowing in the net with ID and parametric attributes, while the events, also with parametric attributes, are the only control signals for triggering the tokens transferring over the transition. With this PEFT-PN, integrating with EPC, it is possible to use a generic architecture to model and control various systems of different configurations and flexible job sequences without redesigning the architecture.
