Abstract
This paper proposes an implementation of a scan conversion. The basis of bilinear interpolation and 2-D vector method can achieve higher PSNR of the output image quality. The algorithm presents of interpolation when compared with the traditional algorithms, particularly in the edge regions. In addition, the proposed method can be easily implemented. Personal computer simulations using read images performance of the proposed algorithm. The performance evaluation is base on the PSNR between the original and reconstructed image, and the results were shown that about 1 dB better then the other algorithms. Besides, it also reveals that the novel method can process high-resolution, with color picture of size up to 1024*768 pixels at real-time video 60 frames/sec. The implementation can under less embedded memory (on chip 9.6 KB) requirement.
