Abstract
The mathematical model is the use of mathematical language to describe the behavior of a system. Mathematical models are used in particularly in the sciences such as biology, electrical engineering, physics and so on. The sonar array target simulator is a kind of digital simulation system, which provides the simulated signal received by sonar array in an appointed interface. This paper introduces system´s mathematical model. Based on the study of the function and structure of the complex array, this paper introduces the theoretical model and mixed model of the echo signal received by the sonar array. Analyze and compare the two models, we can get a conclusion: The mixed model is suited to the complex array
