Abstract
In this paper, theoretical and experimental investigation of the electrodynamic processes with TEM waveguide of different geometries (filter-coupler, near-field probe, band-stop filter) were presented. The investigation showed that a wide-band planar waveguiding structures can be constructed on basis of the TEM two-strip waveguide. Due to construction and development simplicity of a TEM two-strip waveguide it can be used not only in millimetre but in sub-millimetre, terahertz and even in optical wave-range. Achievement of near-field probe such higher electrical field amplitude at the apex signified that this probe can be used to create near-field probes for optical data recording and spectroscopy.
