Abstract
Analysis algorithms for complex photonic structures like periodic hyper-structures or resonators with circular periodic waveguides are described. For the analysis of this resonator a combination of the Method of Lines (MoL) with a finite difference (FD) impedance/admittance transformation is performed. The FD-algorithm is of second order accuracy and developed in such a way that it can be immediately combined with the MoL.
