  • Abstract
    In this paper we propose a Cauchy-type fuzzy c-means (CFCM) algorithm in color image seg- mentation. To speed up CFCM calculations, we use the suppressed idea to modify CFCM algo- rithm and call it a modified CFCM (MCFCM). In our comparisons with FCM and CFCM algo- rithms, the MCFCM algorithm produces better segmentation results according to Liu and Yang´s evaluation index.
