Abstract
This paper presents a method to detect weak harmonic signal embedded in chaotic ´noise´. Since harmonic signal and chaotic signal have different correlation characteristic ,we can transform the mixed signal to a new data sequence, which has new harmonic signal. The new harmonic signal´s frequency is in proportion to the harmonic signal to be detected and it´s frequency is beyond the center bandwidth of other elements . Then we can detect the weak harmonic signal on the basis of extended empirical mode decomposition (EEMD). The method is also suit for the situation which background signals is mixture of chaotic signal and strong Gaussian white noise. The Simulation experiments show that the method is effective and feasible.
