Abstract :
In this paper, the cause and its serious hazard of the inter-turn short circuit fault on turbine generator rotor windings are analyzed. Furthermore the electromagnetic characteristics and mechanical characteristics as well as the correlative variety of the electrical parameters induced after inter-turn short circuit fault on turbine generator rotor windings are analyzed. Based on the fault characteristics that the excitation current increased while the reactive power output decreased relatively when the inter-turn short circuit happens, a fault characteristic mathematical model of inter-turn short circuit is founded considering the saturated situation of steam generators.
