Abstract
In order to obtaining the necessary temperature reference values of a real time fault diagnosis simulate and study the temperature rise along the stator winding bar with hollow sub-conductor blockage to be essential in the fault diagnosis of large turbo-generators. This paper describes the stator 3D temperature field of the water cooling winding bar fault in three positions of turbo-generators. The thermal network method was used to model the stator 3D temperature field of generator. The result showed a severe temperature rise could be lead to in fault position around when the partial hollow cooling conductors was obstruction in the stator bars. The authors conclude the proposed model and calculation method is correct.
