Abstract
It is essential to evaluate the harmonic characteristics of high speed train using power electronics equipments such as converter driven motor drives, battery chargers and auxiliary power supplies. The purpose of this study is to measure and analyze the harmonic characteristics of a Korean high speed train (KHST) prototype on the Seoul-Pusan conventional line. This paper presents the results of harmonics measurement and the analysis of harmonic characteristics in terms of speed.
