Abstract
The accurate measurement of torque ripple of PMSM is important for high performance applications. The balanced direct testing method has advantages such as simple in structure, low cost and high resolution. But its application is limited in speed because of the dynamic characteristics. And there´s almost no research on this problem. Based on the mathematic model of a torque ripple test system of PMSM the frequency response of the torque ripple is computed and analyzed, and hence the reasonable speed range for testing the motor is obtained. Suggestions for improving the dynamic performance of the test system are presented. The computed result is verified by experiment.
