Abstract :
Switched reluctance motors (SRM) have an intrinsic simplicity and low cost that make it well suited to many applications. SRM as a power drive device, however, is designed mainly to realize speed control and high efficiency; the big step angle and the torque ripple have influenced its position precision and have limited its applications in position control system, which demands low speed and low torque ripple. In this paper, a novel mechatronics system of SRM step motion control for the electrical actuator is given. In order to increase position precision of the electrical actuator, a torque vector control strategy is presented. Multi-torque vector can be synthesized in the space by using the control of very phase current via rotor position. The simulation and experiments result show that this control strategy is not only increase position precision but also reduce the torque ripple of the novel electrical actuator.
