Abstract :
This paper deals with the study of speed control of PMDC Micro Motor using PID and IFLC techniques. An in depth comparison of various speed commands have been studied experimentally using LabVIEW6i as software and SCXI 1122 analog input card, SCXI 1124 analog output card and DAQ board as hardware and UC3637chip as controlling while Id- bridge MOSFET as a driver circuit. The studies include transient response at various set points, 50 % speed reduction command, full load application at rated rpm and abrupt full load application. The study reveals that IFLC is faster, robust, flexible and superior to PID controller.
