  • Abstract
Biological systems are highly complex especially in the cellular signal transduction pathway. How to mathematically describe a signal transduction network by systematic approaches and hence to exploit an appropriate control strategy is attractive to the control engineers. In this paper, reducing the signal network of the best-known Ras oncogene to a hierarchically structured network is presented. It is hoped that the idea of traditional control design methods could be applied to deal with this kind of biological control problems.
