Abstract
This paper presents low power bandpass filter of 1 GHz bandwidth using super regenerative oscillator tuned at 7 GHz. The filter is used to design low power medium data rate UWB impulse receiver. The high gain and poor selectivity are the attractive properties of super regenerative oscillator for UWB system. Fully integrated filter with LC resonant tank is designed and simulated in 0.1 Sum CMOS technology. The data exchange rate of 1 Mb/s is achieved for detecting -90 dBm signals of 1 GHz bandwidth with power consumption of 500 uW at 1.5 V.
