Abstract
In this paper we report on the development of single pixel and 64-pixel Geiger avalanche Photodiode (GPD) arrays as calorimetric (calGPDs) and tracking detectors with improved optical and electronics interface, capable of increased photon counting rate, sub-nanosecond timing resolution, improved temperature stability and more than ten years projected operation lifetime.
