Design of ubiquitous information environments; "Tour of Nafplio" project

The primary aim of this announcement is to establish parameters for the design of an ubiquitous information environment. The method used is the analysis of a design procedure of an already implemented project titled "Tour of Nafplio". The design objectives are specified, followed by the elements (content, networks, artifacts, "rooms") that constitute ubiquitous information environments. Subsequently, each element is analysed and the key concepts ("open museum", variable interactive model, parallel systems, parallel design of digital and natural space etc.) that specify the design parameters are pointed out.
