Abstract :
This article presents a "wanderer monitoring system" application based on radiofrequency identification systems, whose objective is to monitor the movement of individuals with spatial disorientation problems. The system architecture and description is shown, as well as the results of the tasks carried out. The system has been installed in 18 elderly peoples\´ homes belonging to the Andalusian Government (Southern Spain), and it is currently in used following more than one year of validation
