Abstract :
A design for a gyrotron producing radiation from 600 GHz to 2 THz is discussed. The gyrotron is based on a pulse magnet producing a peak field of 37 Tesla, with a 550 microsecond long pulse at a repetition rate of 2.2 Hz. The peak and average powers at 1 THz are 5 kW and 10 W, respectively. The output radiation is in a Gaussian mode.
