  • Abstract
    In the following, we will give an overview of some transmitter and receiver side techniques for the mitigation of chromatic dispersion (CD), polarization-mode dispersion (PMD) as well as intrachannel nonlinear effects. These include electronic predistortion as well as probabilistic receiver-side mitigation using maximum likelihood sequence estimation (MLSE). Particular emphasis is laid on the implementation complexity of the aforementioned techniques.
