Abstract
After the modification of the fuzzy ART neural network operations. An algorithm based on fuzzy ART neural network which can deal with online-learning and recognition of the known and unknown faces at the same time is designed and realized. The simulation experiment results show an online maximum recognition rate is 86.3% and offline recognition rates are nearly 100% when the proper network parameters are selected. 400 images of 40 persons in the publicly available AT&T face database[1] are used for simulation experiment.
