Abstract
Since it is difficult to calculate and analyze the power capacity of the stochastic surge load, the threshold-crossing method is adopted in this study. The energy function of a threshold value is established to analyze the proportion of the surpassing threshold value of the instantaneous power in the transformer. The new method is provided to confirm the threshold in system with surge load. It has been proved that this method can reasonably optimize the allocation of power resources, cut down the waste of resources, and thus, the method is feasible in this field.
