  • Abstract
    Face detection and location is an important step in the face automatic recognition system. The performance of the algorithm directly affects the results of character extraction and face recognition. It is more effective to use a combination method than a single feature. On the base of researching present algorithms, a method based on the combination of moving information and edge projection function is proposed in the paper. The experiment results show that the method is simple and efficiency. It can detect and locate faces without overlapping in the video sequences accurately.
