Architecture and realization of a residential Telco platform

Integration of audio/visual communication, personal media and home automation is on its way to the market. Standardization efforts are paving the way for this happening - although adaptation to mobile terminals and consumer electronic equipments, with proper ergonomic and personalized interfaces is still on its way. In this paper we present a possible architectural solution focused on a Home Telco platform integrated with the current network evolutions and standardization efforts, for which we present and discuss some usage scenarios based on its initial realization.
