Abstract :
With the development of geoscience and semantic technologies, more and more earth systems begin to use ontology in its system model designing. In this paper, we analyze the current main works of designing and using ontologies in geo-science domain from their architecture and components. By the analysis, we conclude that geo-science ontology infrastructure will be the key of new geo-science system, and we also widely discuss its significance and characteristics here.
