  • Abstract
    This paper is dedicated to building a novel evaluation framework for model-based hand tracking algorithms. All in all, two models are presented as an evaluation framework. The first one is called SHGM (standardized hand gesture model) model, used as a standard to be compared, and another one is called OMM( quantitated metric model) model, by which comparison is carried out. In our generating algorithm, a connection graph is firstly produced, and then the 3-D GHG (generated hand gesture) can be produced by circularly using the generating algorithm for a connection put forward in this paper. Our experimental results not only demonstrate the effectiveness and availability of our framework, but also show us how to use our framework to evaluate the accuracy of hand tracking algorithms, such as EKF and UKF algorithm.
